An aircraft lavatory faucet inspired by the ideal combination of technology and beauty in stealth aircraft.
When it comes to restroom design, people don't want to touch anything in a public restroom, for fear of germs. Therefore, many of the interfaces need to be hands-free. However, that doesn't mean careful thought shouldn't be put into how people will perceive and interact. For example, the faucet will automatically turn itself on and off via a capacitance sensor, but unlike many newer aircraft faucet designs, the Twist faucet still asks the passenger to manually select the temperature.
A large part of our perception of quality is physical. The Twist faucet allows users to interact with the temperature setting with the perfect amount of friction and are additionally given a temperature reading via the color display.
